The United Methodist Church (UMC) is a global Christian denomination with a rich history dating back to the 18th-century evangelical revival led by John and Charles Wesley. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, and our key beliefs include:
- God's grace is available to all people, and everyone is welcome to participate in the life of the Church.
- We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
- The Bible is the inspired word of God and our primary source for Christian doctrine and living.
- We celebrate two sacraments: Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.
- We value the importance of personal and social holiness, striving to live out our faith in both individual and communal ways.
As part of the United Methodist connection, KPUMC works alongside other United Methodist churches to engage in mission and ministry, providing resources and support for one another.
